Supporting emergency archaeology
The NCMD has a fund set aside to help pay for emergency archaeological excavations that may be required when a member makes a significant discovery. Time can be of the essence, and being able to bring in paid professional archaeological services can be critical to saving the evidence at the site, as official local authority and academic archaeological resources can be over-stretched.
